A variation on the well-known and loved hymn, this arrangement starts with gentle and mysterious-sounding crunchy chords, then builds up gradually throughout the first verse. Some slightly different harmony enters in the second verse; very minor changes that give the piece a slightly more ethereal feel but will be relatively simple for choirs to master. The hymn ends with an open fifth climax that will leave your audience or congregation wanting more.
 
Whilst scored for choir and piano, the accompaniment is also suitable for organ. SATB-only part available on request.
